Borders (optional):

For this pattern, you have two different border options:
the slip stitch border or the single crochet border.
Below are the instructions for both options.
Borders are completely optional.

Slip Stitch Border:

Round 1: Sl st 1 in each st until you reach the tip of the scarf. Place 3 sl sts into the tip.
Sl st 1 into each ch across until you reach the opposite tip of the scarf. Place 3 sl sts into
the tip of the scarf. Sl st 1 into each st (including the sl sts from the end of each row) until
you reach the beginning of round 1.

Round 2: Insert your hook to the right of each sl st worked in the previous round and
make a sl st to the right of each st.

Fasten off, weave in ends, and block lightly.

Single Crochet Border:

Round 1: Sc 1 into each stitch until you reach the tip of the scarf. 4 sc into the tip of the scarf, placing a stitch marker into the 2nd & 3rd stitches. Sc 1 into each ch across until you reach the opposite tip of the scarf. 4 sc into the tip of the scarf, marking the 2nd & 3rd sts. Sc 1 into each st (including the sl sts from the end of each row) until you reach the beginning of round 1.

Round 2: Sc 1 into each st until you reach the marked sts at the tip of the scarf. 2 sc into each of the marked sts. Sc 1 into each st until you reach the marked sts at the opposite end of the scarf. 2 sc into each of the marked sts. Sc 1 into each st until you reach the beginning of round 2.

Fringe (optional):

Cut sixty 12” (30 cm) lengths of yarn. Match up two lengths of yarn and insert your hook into the end of a row or border stitch along the edge of the scarf, spacing the fringe out evenly. (Fig. 1)

Find the middle of the paired strands and grab it with your hook. Pull the hooked strands through the crocheted fabric, creating a little loop on the hook whilst the ends of the strands hang on the other side of the fabric. (Fig. 2)

Place the ends of the strands across the hook head and pull through the loop on your hook, tightening the fringe as needed. (Fig. 3)

Trim the fringe to the desired length.

Welcome To ITDesigns!

Welcome To ITDesigns! Hi, I'm Isaac, the designer behind ITDesigns! I primarily sell my designs on Ravelry HERE , and I will be posting free versions of my designs here on my new blog.  I strive to create striking and affordable designs for every maker. My passion for crochet was sparked by a beginners kit I walked by in my local Hobby Lobby. After many attempts at crocheting from watching YouTube videos, my mother connected me with her coworker who brought me through the process of crocheting step by step.  As years went by, crochet sat in the background of my life, slowly progressing and improving. Two years later, I taught myself how go knit using chopsticks and instructional videos. My friend introduced me to Tunisian crochet in the summer of 2024. Fiber arts took over my life from there where I quickly learned from experts like Toni from TLYarn Crafts and Brittany of B.Hooked Crochet. In January of 2025, I released my first crochet pattern the Arrowhead Cowl , a mes...
